| | | | Level 0 comments were still wrapped with a zero-width indentation table. Because the indentation-column contains a space, there was still a slight margin.

| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | + Changed the db_query() API. + Wrapped all links in l(), lm(), la(), ..., drupal_url() functions. + XHTML-ified some HTML. + Wrapped a lot of text in the administrative pages in a t() function. + Replaced all $REQUEST_URI/$PATH_INFOs by request_uri(). + Small bugfixes (eg. bug in book_export_html() and clean-ups (eg. RSS code). + Fixed some bugs in the taxonomy module (eg. tree making bug), added new functionality (eg. new APIs for use by other modules), included Moshe's taxonomy extensions, and some documentation udpates. + ...
* - Added Marco's long-awaited taxonmy module and patches - a replacementDries Buytaert2002-04-14
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | for the meta system. The patches add some extra functionality to the comment system (for example, comments can be set read-only) and fix a couple of small problems. + I integrated the required SQL updates from the varius *.mysql files into the "update.php" script. Upgrading should be easy ... + I did not apply/commit the "user.diff" as requested by Marco ... + I didn't know what to do with "forum.module" and "forum2.module": what do you want me to do with it Marco? Which one should go in? + Can we remove "node_index()" now; both from "node.module" and the themes? + Thanks Marco!

* - applied search patch.Kjartan Mannes2002-03-05
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | - added who is online block. - made weblog module more configurable. - users may now delete their own accounts (Feature #8) - users may now request a password using email address *or* username. formerly required both items to match an account which was onerous. - the link to request a new password is now presented whenever a user fails login. - there is now a confirmation message after submitting edits to your user information. - error messages in user.module may now be stylized by themes. - <hook>_form has a $param setting you can fill with form parameters. - improved wording for a few config settings. - fixed various non-coding standard things.

* - import.module:Dries Buytaert2001-12-30
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | + Improved input filtering; this should make the news items look more consistent in terms of mark-up. + Quoted all array indices: converted all instances of $foo[bar] to $foo["bar"]. Made various other changes to make the import module compliant with the coding style. - theme.inc: + Fixed small XHTML glitch - comment system: + Made it possible for users to edit their comments (when certain criteria are matched). + Renamed the SQL table field "lid" to "nid" and updated the code to reflect this change: this is a rather /annoying/ change that has been asked for a few times. It will impact the contributed BBS/forum modules and requires a tiny SQL update: sql> ALTER TABLE comments CHANGE lid nid int(10) NOT NULL; + Moved most (all?) of the comment related logic from node.php to comment.module where it belongs. This also marks a first step towards removing/reducing "node.php". + Added a delete button to the comment admin form and made it so that Drupal prompts for confirmation prior to deleting a comment from the database. This behavior is similar to that of deleting nodes. + Disabled comment moderation for now. + Some of the above changes will make it easier to integrate the upcomcing mail-to-web and web-to-mail gateways. They are part of a bigger plan. ;) - node system: + Made it so that updating nodes (like for instance updating blog entries) won't trigger the submission rate throttle. + Fixed a small glitch where a node's title wasn't always passed to the $theme->header() function. + Made "node_array()" and "node_object()" more generic and named them "object2array()" and "array2object()". + Moved most (all?) of the comment related logic from node.php to comment.module where it belongs. This also marks a first step towards removing/reducing "node.php". - misc: + Applied three patches by Foxen. One to improve performance of the book module, and two other patches to fix small glitches in common.inc. Thanks Foxen!
* - Revised the comment links: when a user does not have the requiredDries Buytaert2001-12-27
| | | | | | | | | permissions to post comments, the "reply to this comment"-link is no longer shown. Also, when a user is a "comment administrator", an "administer"-link will be displayed. - Revised the threaded_min and threaded_max code: it makes rendering pages with more than 15 comments 200% times faster.
* - Removed (the need for) the Comment-class: makes for cleaner code.Dries Buytaert2001-12-22
| | | | | | | | - Fixed the comment preview function: the preview shown was not being an exact preview of the comment. Along the way, I polished the comment submission code. - XMTML-ified the code, and quoted all "string"-based array indices.
* - strip HTML tags from comment subjects.Kjartan Mannes2001-12-09

* A set of updates to the "_link" system:Dries Buytaert2001-11-24
| | | | | | | | | | | | | - Made the /comment links/ jump to the comments instead of to the top of the page. - Replaced the "Add comment"-button by a "add new comment"-link. (This should make UnConeD jump up and down of wild excitement.) - Moved all comment related logic from theme.inc and node.module to comment.inc and comment.module (where they belong). - Added some links to ease the site's usability/navigation.
* - A large batch of updates, amongst them a rewritten node system. MoreDries Buytaert2001-11-01

* - Removed a node's link ID (lid) as discussed on the mailing list. SeeDries Buytaert2001-10-16
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | 'updates/3.00-to.x.xx.mysql' for the required MySQL updates. - Renamed some "author" fields to "uid" fields for sake of consistency. - Fixed the coding style of some PHP files. - Fixed the moderation queue (fairly untested though). - Re-introduced the temporary SQL table in _node_get(). - Added a missing 'auto_increment' to 'updates/3.00-to-x.xx.mysql'.
* - PEAR-ification of Drupal by claw: you can now host Drupal on a wideDries Buytaert2001-10-09

* - Improved search architecture derived from Axel's new search patches.Dries Buytaert2001-10-03
| | | | | | | (There is room for improvement so let's go from these ... and build on them.) - Removed some $status's by calls to node_status().
* - fixed small glitch in node_del()Dries Buytaert2001-09-28
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | - fixed small glitch in comment_del() - changed the API of the form() function. The first parameter, the "action"-attribute in the <form>-tag has been made optional. By default, it will be set to "$REQUEST_URI". Why? Because in 98% of the cases we would do: global $REQUEST_URI; $form = form($REQUEST_URI, $form_content); while we can do: $form = form($form_content); now. Update your modules (and sorry for the inconvenience)!

* Extremely large commit:Dries Buytaert2001-06-29
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | - Fixed tiny quote problem in account.php. - Fixed tiny bug in comment.inc. - Fixed tiny bug in comment.module. - Fixed tiny bug in meta.module. - Simplified user_access() API. - Rewrote link system: still needs fine-tuning and testing so don't upgrade if you are running a production site. ;) Updated all modules and themes to reflect this change. All other themes and modules need updating too!
* - Added a brand-new access.module which allows you to manage 'roles'Dries Buytaert2001-06-20
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | (groups) and 'permissions' ... (inspired by Zope's system). + Once installed, click the help-link for more information. + See updates/2.00-to-x.xx.sql for the SQL updates. - Modified loads of code to use our new access.module. The system still has to mature though: new permissions have to be added and existing permissions need stream-lining. Awaiting suggestions. - As a direct result of the new access system, I had to rewrite the way the top-level links in admin.php are rendered and displayed, and xhtml-ified admin.php while I was at it. TODO - Home-brewed modules need updating, home-brewed themes not. (Examples: file.module, trip_link.module) - As soon we *finished* the refactoring of the user system (KJ has been working on this refactoring already) we should consider to embed this role and permission code into account.module ...
* - Code review: improved search API, tidied up the search related code,Dries Buytaert2001-05-09

* - Uhm. Rewrote the module system: less code clutter, less run-timeDries Buytaert2001-05-05
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | overhead, and a lot better (simpler) module API. I had to edit a LOT of files to get this refactored but I'm sure it was worth the effort. For module writers / maintainers: None of the hooks changed, so 95% of the old modules should still work. You can remove some code instead as "$module = array(...)" just became obsolete. Also - and let's thank God for this - the global variable "$repository" has been eliminated to avoid modules relying on, and poking in drupal's internal data structures. Take a look at include/module.inc to investigate the details/changes. - Improved design of the content modules "story", "book" and "node" (to aid smooth integration of permisions + moderate.module). I'm still working on the permissions but I got side tracked for which I "Oops!".
* CHANGES:Dries Buytaert2001-05-03
| | | | | | | | - Added moderator information to forum.module. - Simplified story.module, page.module, forum.module and book.module by removing redundant code, and by doing other small house-keeping tasks.
* CHANGES:Dries Buytaert2001-05-02
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | - Added moderator permissions to nodes. - Added moderator support to structure.module. - Added new moderate.module. - Renamed moderation.module to queue.module to avoid confusing. Updated theme yaroon as it seems to have a hard-coded reference to moderation.module. - Polished on: + account.module: improved access list + fixed HTML typo in node.module ACTIONS: - Jeroen: can jeroen2.theme be removed from ./themes/yaroon?
* Welp. Large commit ahead.Dries Buytaert2001-04-30
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | CHANGES: - Added "read" and "write" permissions into drupal but removed it again because - when finished after 3 hours of work - it was considered nothing but added complexity that didn't buy us anything. :I (I'll explain this in detail on the mailing list, I guess.) - Added a very simple help.module to group all available documentation on a single page. - Fixed bug in node_control(), book.module: UnConeD forgot to global $user when updating the combobox code. - Removed static wishlist.module: in future, the wishlist can be maintained as a page in our collaborative book. - Revised most of settings.module: tidied up the code and the descriptions to accompany the settings and introduced a new "default maximum number of nodes to display on the main page" variable. - Revised most of comment.module: the administration interface looks better now, integrated node permissions, and -finally- made it possible to delete comments. - Polished on: + account.module + structure.module + locale.module + module.module + forum.module - Form-ified: + account.php + account.module + setting.module + cvs.module + submit.php + comment.module + forum.module + book.module + page.module + locale.module - Updated CHANGELOG INFO: - Designed a "generic tracker system with optional backends" on paper. The idea is to allow registered users to hot-list certain topics, individual nodes or threads (comments) and to "plug-in" output backends like - for instance - an e-mail digest. The design requires "intelligent blocks" though. TODO: - I want to tidy up the headline.module and backend.class as well as merge in headlineRSS10.module. Julian spent quite some time working on headline.module but I'm not sure what he changed and whether he'd contribute it back?
* - various smaller improvementsDries Buytaert2001-04-04

* - All comments on the administration page are actually "linked" now: theDries Buytaert2001-03-25
| | | | | | comments on the drupal page where originally *not* click-able but this turned out to be confusing only. Now we live in a nodified world, we can simply link all comments without a single problem! :-)
* - simplified the comment code: the SQL queries are less complex, thusDries Buytaert2001-03-24
| | | | faster now.
* - applied David Norman's patch to turn all <?'s into fully qualifiedDries Buytaert2001-03-10
| | | | <?php's.
* A rather large and important update:Dries Buytaert2001-03-07
| | | | revised most of the SQL queries and tried to make drupal as secure as possible (while trying to avoid redundant/duplicate checks). For drupal's sake, try to screw something up. See the mail about PHPNuke being hacked appr. 6 days ago. The one who finds a problem is rewarded a beer (and I'm willing to ship it to Norway if required). I beg you to be evil. Try dumping a table a la "http://localhost/index.php?date=77778;DROP TABLE users" or something. ;)
